The Value of a Second Opinion May Be Significant
Secondary radiological interpretations are sometimes required by clinical or legal services in order to confirm or clarify a competent diagnosis or point of contention. In some situations, NDI provides high quality second opinion radiology reports to medical practitioners in order to guide and enhance their primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary tertiary care decisions. We typically provide secondary interpretations for CT (computed tomography) exams, MRI tests, X-ray images, Ultrasound scans, PET (positron emission tomography) scans, or Mammogram screens although we do provide second opinions for other imaging modalities such as Women’s Imaging, Nuclear Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) and Fluoroscopy. NDI also performs preliminary interpretations and final reads.
Typical Prices For Radiology Second Opinions
We provide radiology second opinions, over reads and secondary interpretations for private individuals, medical facilities, a patient’s legal counsel, family members, insurance companies and other entities. Our standard rates are typically $160.00 per body part for MRI, CT, PET and Ultrasound. We charge $50.00 per body part for second opinions of X-Rays. Radiology interpretations for other modalities are also available.
