MRI Interpretation - Teleradiology

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a highly specialized medical imaging technique ideally read by highly experienced, fellowship-trained radiologists. National Diagnostic Imaging (NDI) has carefully recruited a team of uniquely qualified musculoskeletal and neurological MRI specialists who dilligently craft accurate, decisive impressions.

Teleradiology improves patient care by allowing our nationwide team of professional radiologists to provide services off-site. Specialized software is used to rapidly transmit the images securely, enabling the radiologist to effectively and efficiently analyze the images, which are assigned to radiologists ideally qualified to read the study. For example, sports medicine studies originating from orthopedic practices are routed to a Musculoskeletal Specialist with extensive experience. Additional levels of subspecialty expertise are offered within musculoskeletal radiology including foot and ankle specialists.

Our MRI teleradiology service is much more than professional interpretations. National Diagnostic Imaging assists its clients in developing time efficient protocols to maximize the return on investment. Client technologists have access to our in-house radiologic technologist, who posseses an in-depth knowledge of the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines pertaining to MRI accreditation, scanning guidelines and appropriateness criteria. Technical advice, including patient positioning, is offered at no additional charge. Images and reports are posted securely in our proprietary workflow and viewing station, PACSstar, allowing for 24/7 remote access by our clients. Imaging Centers can create their own dedicated referring physician portals—another value added service.

Collectively we have developed and managed many MRI sites. But we do not solely rely on past experience. Our MRI staff stays up to date on the latest policy changes in our ever changing world of healthcare by maintaing active memberships in organizations such as the Radiology Business Managers Association (RBMA).
